The Little Justice Leaders Digital Membership Hub is a digital subscription that will help you talk about and engage in social justice issues with your preschool-8th grade learners. When you become a member, you'll get access to a suite of resources, connections, and trainings to help guide and support you in this work.

You can log in to your digital membership site anytime to access resources that will help you talk to your learners about social justice in an age-appropriate way for kids in grades preschool-8th grade. The content is packed with resources to help guide your conversations and activities while learning about the topics.

Our resources are designed for both parents and teachers! And not just parents and teachers... If you have preschool-8th grade kids in your life, our community is for you. Our resources are designed to be used with all kids - whether they're your students, kids, nieces and nephews, grandkids, students at afterschool or summer programs, part of religious or community groups, camp members, and more. They're also perfect for homeschooling!

We all want to "let kids be kids", but the reality is, our little ones are exposed to social justice topics all the time without us even knowing about it. Whether it's from a friend in the neighborhood, an older sibling, or social media, kids are taking in messages about social justice every day. If you aren't helping them navigate this learning, kids can develop fear, confusion, bias, and even hatred. When you do talk to kids about these topics, they learn to value diversity, ask questions, and speak up for what is right.

In the membership community, you'll find lesson plans, activities, book guides, and other resources to talk to kids about social justice. You'll also get exclusive access to learning events, webinars, and trainings to learn from education and activist experts. Most importantly, you'll connect with a community of like-minded families and educators to learn, grow, and support each other. With these resources at your fingertips, you can feel comfortable talking about the theme, even if you have no experience with a particular topic!

These are sensitive issues. We get it. We pack the membership with resources created specifically for preschool-8th graders by education experts, and our priority is to ensure they are age-appropriate. Our activities allow you to talk about the issues at the level you feel comfortable with – and no more. Go as deep or stay as surface-level as you want. You know your kids best, and you know what is appropriate for them right now. Remember, you can always come back to the resources later when you feel they are ready to dive deeper.

Great question! There are so many ways to use the Little Justice Leaders Digital Membership Hub. Some educators and families will primarily use the lesson plans as a way to save time and bring in done-for-you social justice lessons. Some will use the community to share resources, ask questions, and build meaningful connections. Others will show up for webinars and training events to continue learning. The more you utilize it, the more you'll get out of this community! You can take a lesson and turn it into a monthly thematic unit, or you can set aside a 30-minute block to do a quick social justice unit. It's designed to be flexible to work for you and your needs.

We get it. Sometimes, you might feel your learners just aren't ready to learn about a certain topic. You know your kids best, and only you can make that call. Or, maybe your school admin or state government has something to say about certain topics. You don't want to put your job at risk! The beauty of our digital community is that you can take what you need and leave the rest. Find lessons on the topics that are important to you right now, and save the other topics for later.

This is such an important question because you should be careful about who you get your social justice content from. Here's how we make sure our materials are accurate, diverse, and rooted in lived experience:

1. We work with educator-activists who are fighting for justice and have lived experience on the topic. So for example, if our resource is about disabilities, we'll work with disabled activists to create the content.

2. We work with multiple content leaders. Even within any identity group, there is a huge amount of diversity in thought and experience. We work with multiple content leaders to ensure we're representing a diverse array of perspectives within the community rather than oversimplifying a topic. 

3. We draw on multiple resources for support, and we point our community members to those additional resources as well.

4. We partner with some of the most well-known and well-respected activists, educators, and changemakers around. Check out our about page learn about some of our incredible partners and read what they have to say about our work.

5. We're open to feedback! We don't think we're experts on every single social justice topics (nobody is!). If we missed the mark, we invite our community to let us know, and we'll do everything we can to fix it.

The Little Justice Leaders Digital Membership Hub is for individual educators or families, but we also offer packages for schools and districts to integrate Little Justice Leaders curriculum with all of their teachers.
